In 1899 Charles H. Duell, the Commissioner of the US Patent Office declared that,  “Everything that can be invented has been invented.”
 
Sadly for Charles Duell, progress did not come to a grinding halt in 1899 and man kind has made some remarkable strides forward in the last 100 or so years. Currently it is generally considered that the sum total of human knowledge doubles every 2 to 3 years (some estimates will put this figure as low as 18 months, whilst others will cite 5 years). Which ever figure is correct, our knowledge of our universe continues to grow exponentially.
 
At Novalab, we like to think we are a little more open minded than Mr. Duell. We are constantly looking at options and new products, testing materials and considering new design initiatives. We want to play our part in this ever expanding knowledge base by providing the best possible laboratory environments and work spaces.
 
Or as another ex patent office clerk once put it, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” Albert Einstein.

Novalab introduce a new laboratory furniture range specifically designed to meet the increasingly stringent needs of microbiology laboratories constructed to PC2 and PC3 standards. Unlike other laboratory furniture systems that merely try to cover up the cut edges of timber products, Novalab BioPro completely removes the problem by eliminating timber products from all the materials of construction
BioPro offers and unbeatable combination of materials for microbiology applications.

• World leading Trespa Toplab Plus bench tops. Universally recognized as the best compact laminate laboratory bench top available.
• Compact laminate cabinet construction. No exposed timer products, even in the carcass holes for adjustable shelves. No edge clashing to fall off or trap dirt and no environmentally unfriendly PVC.
• Option for the support steel in standard powder coated finish or anti-microbial BioPro finish.

2. INTRODUCING
New Fume Cupboard Range
Novalab are pleased to announce a new range of fixed fume cupboards. Whilst some of the new features are in development and testing, most are now incorporated and available in the new design. The full range will be launched in early 2012, but the older range of fume cupboards will be replaced as the new models and features become available.
The base model fume cupboard features:

• 13 mm thick compact laminate construction. This makes the fume cupboard more robust, fire retardant, impact resistant, chemical and solvent resistant.
• Novalab control system. Well proven, robust and reliable.
• LCD readout providing fume cupboard status.

• Novalab Resistop or Trespa Toplab Plus work surface.
