Polypropylene has a number of very useful characteristics including excellent chemical resistance and the fact that almost nothing will stick to it. However, this does mean that most joints involving polypropylene are mechanical in nature. This is the same with polypropylene sinks, which cannot be glued or bonded to any bench top using standard sealants or adhesives. For this reason the sinks are usually supplied with a gasket and, when under mounting sinks, we recommend the use of either an aluminium strengthening strip under the sink flange, or multiple screws directly through the flange. Any additional silicon used as a sealant may stick to the bench but will not stick to the polypropylene.

Material - Polypropylene
Capacity of 2.3 litres
The 1½'' BSP inlet is suitable for connection straight to the
outlet on Novalab drip cups, or to the polypropylene
chemical resistant plug and waste supplied with Novalab epoxy
resin sinks or circular
polypropylene drip cups.
The top inlet pipe is height adjustable for easy connection
to the waste outlet. The bottom bowl unscrews for emptying
and cleaning.
The purpose of the trap is to allow for dilution of any
chemicals with water prior to the waste
stream entering the main drain by holding the chemicals in the
bowl. Any neutralisation reactions between acids and bases will
also
take place in the bowl thereby protecting the rest of the
drainage.
