All Carlos Arboles tapware is finished in a white polyamide coating. This is the internationally accepted best practice for laboratory taps. Whilst chrome plated tap ware may look good, chrome is attacked by a number of commonly used laboratory acids and is less chemically resistant than polyamide. Chrome plating is now considered to be environmentally unfriendly and the chromic acid used in electroplating solutions is classed as a human carcinogen. For these reasons we do not supply chrome plated laboratory taps.
