stock. The stock product is essentially the basic fume hood,
glass base, filter head unit and filter.
Most customers, however, have individual requirements and this
is where we customise the product to meet those needs.

Fume Extraction
Cruma Ductless Fume cupboards
Our range of Cruma ductless fume cupboards are ideal for those
applications where fully ducted fume cupboards are not the most
practical solution.
Particularly in schools, a mobile fume cupboard provides a useful
shared resource that can be moved between classrooms. With clear
sides all round, the Cruma is ideal for demonstration purposes,
where it can be wheeled into the centre of a laboratory and there
are no obstructions to the line of site from any angle. Gases
generated by the experiments pass through a high efficiency
activated carbon filter in the head of the unit and the clean,
filtered air is then re-circulated back into the room.
Carbon filters are easily changed and require no tools although the
filters are reasonably heavy, so care should be exercised when
changing these. We recommend that the filter should be changed every
18 months to 2 years.
Novalab
have supplied Cruma ductless fume cupboards to a number of schools
and commercial laboratories where the type of installation has
varied from a basic hood with no base mounted on an existing bench,
to fully mobile units with detachable gas a water supplies. Trolleys
are manufactured here in New Zealand and custom made to customer
requirements.
