Fume Cupboards
(Academic Series)

By limiting the PVC content and using a twin skin design with
fire retardant materials and solid steel support frame, Novalab
fume cupboards are designed for maximum operator safety and
durability. Extensive testing and practical design
considerations have led to a fume cupboard that can meet the
needs of most laboratory operations with out the need for
special materials. Before contacting us about your requirements
please take a few moments to read through the following check
list of options.
Services required:
- Cold water only or hot and cold water
- 150 mm diameter drip cup or small sink. If a small sink is required please choose from the epoxy resin sinks
- Number of general purpose power outlets required. Total possible power loading expected.
- Gas services. Combustible gas out let. Other gases required.
Note any other services you may need
When considering the location of a fume cupboard please also
note that all fume cupboard duct work that runs inside a
building must be under negative pressure, meaning that, in most
installations, the exhaust fan must be located on the roof of
the building. As a general rule, the final discharge point for a
fume cupboard should also be 3 metres above the point where the
duct work comes through the roof.
