For laboratories where a lower level of chemical resistance is
sufficient and high abrasion resistance and budget are primary
requirements
Novalab Duratop was first introduced to New Zealand for the
construction of the Landcare/MAF research facility in Auckland.
Used as a complimentary product to Novalab ResistopTM, Duratop
is a hard wearing bench top product that possesses reasonably
good chemical resistance and is ideal for areas were less
aggressive chemicals are used, but mechanical and abrasive
demands are high.
Duratop
has since performed well in school laboratories (chemistry,
physics and biology), clinical research and health care
laboratories, as well as being used for office furniture in
laboratory settings and general table tops for public areas,
board rooms and libraries.
Duratop will perform well in laboratories areas where less
aggressive chemicals are in use and good housekeeping practices
are followed. Where budgets are an issue, Duratop will provide a
good all round level of performance, but in the same price range
as the average kitchen bench top.
Duratop is not GreenGuard certified but is manufactured from
products and using processes that are generally recognized as
generating lower levels of formaldehyde and volatile organic
vapours.
